The Christian gospel says in clear terms that we must 'bind up the broken
hearted', that we 'go and do likewise' as the Good Samaritan.
In our land, as in all others, the church is conscious of the fact that there
are many 'wounded' in our society, and that the Christian community is
well-equipped by its history, its theology and in no short measure, by its
resources to show its care for those in need.
The Church has under its umbrella of outreach, programmes to the elderly,
the orphans and those in need of reformation. It is also responsible
for fifty-nine (59) primary schools, one (1) special school and eight ( 8) secondary schools.
These Anglican institutions have as their main purpose the projection, by
precept, example and practice, the fundamentals of the Anglican way of life in
particular and the brotherhood of man in general.
